Mattermost is the chat tool that we use to communicate within the Train-the-Trainer program.
It is an open source platform and it is free. You can learn more about it in the Mattermost documentation. If you have any problems with Mattermost, please check the documentation before getting in touch with us.
You can use Mattermost in your webbrowser, in the desktop app or the IOS/Android version on your phone (or all of those :)) Joining is pretty easy - you indicate what team you want to join and then create an account using an email address and passwort.
We use something called workspaces and teams on Mattermost. When you join Mattermost you can either do so via this link or by entering the following workspace name:
chat.science-retreat.org
Still need help or want some more information? Here is a tutorial on how to join a Mattermost workspace
If you have trouble joining the workspace, please contact us via hello@digiresacademy.org
On Mattermost, you can find many different channels. These show up on the left in the sidebar.
By joining our team, you have already been added automatically to the channel #Town-Square.
Browse other channels by clicking the + symbol on the sidebar, then ‘browse channel’ to get the full list of channels.
Here is an overview of all channels and their purpose. If there are any new ones, please add them to the list.
