The peer mentoring sessions are normally 1 hour conversations between a mentor and a mentee. They often take place on a walk.
Anyone can be a mentor or mentee (or both).
Mentors add information on what they can offer (e.g. chats about unconventional career paths, figuring out what you want to work on in the future, …) on the mentoring channel in the event chat and put times when they offer mentoring on the schedule board with the following details on a sticky note:
All of us have some experience they can share with others. When mentoring, reflect on your own experiences that may be relevant for the mentees situation including successes and challenges. Come ready to listen first, rather than lecture. Try to mostly ask questions that may help the mentee figure out their situation.
Read through the mentoring channel and sign up by filling the blank space (mentee) on the sticky note.
Think about what you want out of this conversation (e.g. career advice or a specific issue you are facing).
